Rugs of Orient
Orientals made less than a hundred years ago, even only twenty years ago, are usually good buys.
Twenty years is long enough to soften the color and polish the pile, and in 1925, the regional patterns—such as the Fereghan, Serebend or Kirman —were still woven exactly as they had been for many generations.
Rugs of this type are commonly called "semi-antique" by dealers though the government forbids advertising them as such, because the term is ambiguous.
They increase in beauty and value as they grow older.
